He's just got the drive and ambition of a well-fed kitten. For a long time, just kept collecting degrees while he figured out what it was he wanted to do. And then his uncle died. He always liked his uncle -- he was another black sheep of the family, running a mildly successful though somewhat embarassingly low rent PI firm in Tampa. His uncle left the firm to him -- when you're in university for eleven years, you get good at administrative work. There's always time to temp. And the uncle knew he'd love working in the upper offices of the place. Harry always had a thing for detective novels, after all. His uncle didn't expect him to try to be a PI, though. Harry finds it exciting! A calling! The only trouble is... he's really quite bad at it. He's been threatened, he's been shot at, he's had any number of scrapes and he's had a whole lot of boredom and failures. He still tries, though. As long as he doesn't try too much or too hard, the business stays afloat and he's free to work on that fourth masters degree and play around, much to the chagrin of his staff.
